FAQs

  • What happens in a typical appointment?

Typically, an appointment follows the sequence of assessment, treatment and rehabilitation. During the assessment we will explain what we believe your problem is and explain the typical rehab process for the injury. Treatment and rehabilitation will be personalised and engaging with the aim of leaving you with confidence to acheive your goals.

After your appointment you will be sent an email containing videos and details of your exercises so you know that you are doing them correctly in between appointments.

  • How will I feel after an appointment?

Generally, you will feel completely fine after an appointment, with a clear idea of your next steps.

Occasionally, you may feel a little sore a few days after your appointment. This is typically a result of using muscles that you are not used to using. If this is the case please continue with your exercises and it will settle down within 48 hours.

You may be slightly bruised after certain treatments. This is normal and is a result of having some hands on treatment.

If you have any worries, please don't hesitate to contact us.

  • What is involved in an online appointment?

An online appointment follows the same sequence of an in person appointment. The only difference being all treatment is exercise based. After booking the appointment you will be sent a link to a Teams meeting before your appointment.

We have found these appointments to be as, if not more effective as in-person appointments as it allows you to take ownership of your rehab rather than feeling the 'need' for hands-on treatment

  • What should I wear?

You should wear loose-fitting, active style clothes that are easy to move in. If your problem is from the hip down shorts would be ideal. If you have a shoulder problem, a sports top or vest would be ideal.
